Anticipated research activities will be in the area of swine productivity, disease prevention and epidemiologic investigation of the control of important infectious diseases and potential zoonotic pathogens affecting swine. The candidate will also provide some assistance with teaching in the Veterinary curriculum and delivery of educational programs in the area of veterinary preventive medicine and swine medicine.
Program/Unit Description
The Veterinary Population Medicine Department of the College of Veterinary Medicine has an opening for a 100% Post-Doctoral Associate position. The position will focus on swine health and productivity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (must be documented on application/resume):
The candidate must have a DVM and PhD, or equivalent foreign degree by start date. Desired qualifications include an M.S. or equivalent degree. Experience in food animal production in the area of swine health, productivity and epidemiology will be given preference. Excellent oral/written communication, leadership and interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated ability to work in teams and a high level of computer experience are required.
