About this Job:

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Associate Brand Manager, Swine to join our Marketing department located in St. Joseph, MO. The Associate Brand Manager will support the execution of the brand plan to meet business objectives. Has developed knowledge and skills to identify and solve issues related to the implementation of the brand plan. Works with moderate guidance in own department and leverages cross-functional support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports the implementation of brand plans and tactics to support the brand strategy, which may include collaboration with other brand team members, BIVI extended team members and external agencies/vendors. Responsible for and assigned at least one brand.
Understands and applies latest trends in the market, competition and/or product performance; communicate insights and recommendations to team members.
Coordinates activities with internal and external vendors to support and ensure the effective implementation of marketing plans/tactics.
Assists in the development, management and monitoring of identified brand expenses.
Responds timely to non-standard requests from clients; investigates issues with assistance from others as needed. Works closely with field force regarding planning and execution of brand plan.
Communicates marketing objectives to internal partners to ensure alignment.
Manages administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.) and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to main BIPI’s excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.

Requirement:

Requirements
Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required; MBA preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience in the human pharmaceutical or animal health industry, including sales or marketing experience.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Demonstrated understanding and ability to monitor budget and resources.
Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications.
Ability to travel (will include overnight travel).

Internal Candidates:

Max Plan rating of MET EXPECTATIONS for past 3 years of Company employment.
No discipline in Personnel File.
Not currently on Performance Improvement Plan.
Must have 6 months in current job communication and presentation skills.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
Must be 18 years of age or older.
